It has not been proven why this condition occurs. It is thought that it may be caused by the breakdown of the immunity system whereby the white blood cells attack the hair follicles.

Alopecia Androgenetica Is known to describe male baldness - a bald patch on top of the head, or the appearance of a receding hair line along with thinning hair. Even though this is common in men This type of hair loss can also effect women, with the appearance of hair thinning all over the head. What is Trichotillomania

Trichotillomania is another form of hair loss. This is caused by compulsive hair pulling and usually coincides with some sort of emotional stress or depression. However , the cause of this condition as not been proven. In some cases this compulsion can be linked back to some form of traumatic experience. In other cases it can be , hormonial and therefore teenage girls can be more at risk. It has been intrinsically linked that many sufferers have some sort of psychological problem.
